flying ice cream

so so so on tuesday buddies and i went for an outing :D our plan was having ice cream at bugis and riding the singapore flyer. yey! :D

tuesday morning we attended the compulsory mdis experience talk. it was about how to improve our memory, with mr. dt as the speaker. it sounded incredibly cliche that i couldnt help but underestimate that initially. and it was at 9 in the morning. oh come on, even keeping my eyes open was a tough job. surprisingly it turned out to be pretty fun at the end. though i got a strange impression about this mr.dt. he didnt seem like a good guy in my eyes. and that feeling grew even greater right as i found out that he will be lecturing my batch next term. but it wasnt my right to judge, was it?

anyway, the talk ended sooner than we all expected and so we headed to kopitiam for lunch. i couldnt recall what i had hehe. chatted for a while, then we went to an empty class for group meeting. done with meeting .. time for camwhoring! :D and finally we made our way to bugis. yeyey!

we had our ice cream at ice cream man at haji lane, bugis. i got even more excited, as i always wanted to check out haji lane arab street and the surroundings. people always said its nice there. we took bus from school, which turned out to be verrryyyy long. 1 hour approx. omg i reached stadium 3 of boredom (3 is enough. stadium 4 was too dangerous as i might be willing to jump out the bus :P). passed bugis junction, passed bugis street, then we alighted.

wah haji lane is nice :) well the street was ugly actually, but it was narrow, just like in movies. and the shops was niceeee :D the ice cream man was located at almost the end of the street. the place was cute :D

reached ice cream man, everyone flocked around the ice cream display. everybody screamed here and there for testers :P kepo, i screamed for baileys :P eventually the uncle gave me a spoon (he was actually still young, but here we call an ice cream seller uncle right? :P). i took all my heart with me as i licked the ice cream. ehh, but why was it so weird? i asked erika to try some. she said the same thing.

i then asked the uncle, is it baileys? uncle said, no, thats red bull.

#$!%$!#$!#%!$@#%!$!

and why on earth did he give me red bull?? :( (trust me, i never knew there was such a thing like red bull ice cream). as my buddies were still busy screaming and pointing here and there, i raise my voice for a baileys tester :P uncle laughed and told his friend, 'eh scoop some baileys for her, shes just so dying to try.' hehehe!

someone then said that i couldnt have a baileys cos im still underage, as baileys contains alcohol. we then asked uncle to guess how old was i. he asked if we are all classmates, and pat said yes. he then guessed i was 18. bravo uncle! :D

we ordered 6 flavours, baileys, coffee, green tea, chocolate, bandung, and horlicks, 1 cup each. i flew to a sofa seats in the corner. the place was small and cozy, and they provided a lot of games, like cards, sticks, etc etc. not long after we were seated, the ice creams were delivered. we made yet another chaos, scoop here and there, comment here and there. heres the photo before the chaos began :D

greentea, horlicks, chocolate, bandung, baileys, coffee
baileys : super nice! strongly recommended :D (my mom got panicked and envy me when finding out i had a verrry nice baileys ice cream :D)

coffee : super nice! the coffee tastes strong. daddies should like it :P

greentea : was okay, but personally im not a fan. maybe greentea lovers like andy (he drinks canned greentea like mineral water) like it.

chocolate : terrible. but corrine seemed to be liking it. maybe we have different tastes.

bandung : imagine you shake a bandung drink and keep it in a freezer. thats exactly how it tasted :P nothing special. (btw for you who has no idea what bandung is, its a rose syrup drink that tastes like ... well, syrup :P)

horlicks : speechless. tasted like raw oats. hoeks.

all was not too sweet, which i like :)

after we finished the ice cream in the speed of light, we fancied maple, caramel, and chocolate waffles. they were all sweet. maple was the best though, but still incomparable to pancious :P and the waffles werent crispy. not much different to the ice cream, the waffles plates ended up clean and clear. we were innocently wild :D

full of food, full of joy :D we played uno then. my problem was (and will) always be the same, letting people screamed 'UNO!' right before me when im left with a single card. hiks.

playing, pat asked if we fancy another plate of waffle. as innocently wild kids, surely we said yes :D we asked for strawberry and maple. the strawberry was not nice :(
uno was getting boring, we turned to sticks. the sticks nya were spread on the table and we were to take them one by one without touching the others. i havent even managed to take one stick when the others had taken many. i only took a stick till the end of the game. hiks.

from there we then strolled to opp bugis junction to ... eat again! hahaha. youngsters' diets are horrible. ck ck ck. we ate at lai lai. we actually had eaten there before, loooong time ago. i've been there with kape as well. the meals was not extremely delicious, but comforting enough for me. i couldnt manage to eat, super full. so i just picked syafiq's curry chicken hehe.

from lai lai we took bus to singapore flyer (like finally). before we get on the flyer, we were shown something like small museums about the flyer. we didnt care though, we just keep taking photos. hahaha. as we entered the flyer's cubicle, widiiiih. there was nothing we did other than .. taking photos! hahaha :D half an hour of the ride full of photoshoots. nice :D the view of singapore from above was surely nice. but i dont know why i wasnt really impressed. hehe. seemed like the view was just like jakarta. highways, cars, lamps. the only different was an additional in jakarta, traffic jam. hahaha :P

after flyer, another photoshoot (again!) then we headed home. i didnt feel like going home. it was damn fun! :D

erika, isaac, corrine, pat, clair, vincent, me, andy, syafiq

even better, we only paid $14 (instead of $29.50) for the flyer, and $0 (read: free!) for the ice cream. the flyer was cheaper beacause of a promo (which i know nothing about), and the ice cream was on pat's $30 voucher :D the usual price would be $3.50 per cup, if im not mistaken. its worth the try! i'll definitely come back :D
