the thing about coffee is that it is humble. warm. connecting. and surely this also has much to do with the coffee shop itself.
connecting? yea. connecting us to others, while at the same time reconnecting us to ourselves (schultz, 2011). helping you find back your very own peace. assuring your soul that warm is still exist in the middle of a long cold day. giving you a refreshment to move on and rock the day.
i used to refuse the fact that coffee is good. it was bitter and black and gloomy. but thanks to starbucks who had changed that mindset :) with starbucks, coffee turns to be a good experience. hey, that gloomy black thing could indeed be good!
not only coffee though, starbucks actually taught me a lot of things. to dare to dream. to celebrate little things. to find comfort in small things. to actually live with people. to follow your heart. to put your family at the top of the list, even when your company has grown into a worldwide chain. to love people.
schultz indeed has done a superbly good job. and good books :D if you are into books, pour your heart into it and onward by howard schultz are really worth reading!
some says starbucks does not brew good coffee.
oh. who cares?
and answer this : if its coffee is not good, how could it be the largest coffee chain on earth to date?

jestem polakiem
im incredibly tired!
but life has been fun, though.
friday :
went to bukit timah nature reserve to help mr. ar guide our juniors. walked in a jungle :D
he treated us 4 large pizzas then. now i know that canadian pizza is better than pizza hut.
saturday :
went for dance training, met yoyo in a traffic when i was munching pearls of a bubble milk tea :D
after training, we strolled for another cup of bubble milk tea. shiok!
i've been drinking a lot of bubble milk tea these days. ya i do mean a lot. like, everyday :) somehow it became my mood booster. oh crap, now i get addicted.
found starbucks and wedding planner books in school library. i gotta go borrow it on holiday yeyeyey :D
dont know why, but im always interested in being a wedding planner. sounds fun and ... beautiful.
for me, a wedding planner brings bliss and joy in many lives. isnt it just a form of beauty?
imagine it, a wedding, that is a once-in-a-lifetime moment in one's life, is being trusted to you, to be arranged sacredly yet beautifully. ah :)
when i was little, i once told mommy that i wanted to be a wedding planner -well it happened after i watched JLo in the wedding planner :D but really, i have always been interested ever since, that i always put it as a second job candidate in my list, after hospitality for sure :)
starbucks?
kinda love everything everything about it.
beverages? nice.
food? mouth-watering.
place? cozy.
guests? many ang mos :D
call me a kampong girl, but i always liked foreigner. i even dreamed of a foreign future hubby :D
and starbucks represents my dream lifestyle, where you can sit in a cozy atmosphere listening to comforting music all day long. i could sit at starbucks from morning till evening without getting bored. and i did it! last last holiday :)
i always picture this in my mind:
having a quality me time at starbucks, having caramel frappuccino and cheese bagel or brownies or panini, while digging a romantic novel. what a life.
sometimes i feel that the most talkative time in my life is when writing blog posts.

obrolan tengah malam
gue ga bisa tidur.
ngobrol aja yuk.
hari ini gue pergi ke times dan pulang dalam keadaan setengah gila. gue beli 5 buah novel! yang merupakan sangat cihuy buat gue. total sama yang udah dibeliin mami dulu jadi ada 6 novel baru mulus yang siap dielus. sungguh happy happy joy joy. serasa kera sakti menemukan kitab suci di kolong ranjang.

gue suka sekali baca buku. sukaaaa sekali. apalagi novel. kalo ketemu buku, gue seperti seorang nerd yang weird berkacamata tebal berambut klimis berkumis tipis yang ga pernah pergi bermain. buku, terutama novel, seperti memiliki daya tarik yang kuat layaknya tali tambang 17agustusan. favorit gue adalah love story romantis menggemaskan idaman cewek cewek seluruh dunia dengan happy ending yang cantik. makanya gue paling demen baca novel novel nya sparks. setiap selesai baca novel nya, gue akan menarik napas panjang tak lupa menghembuskan dan mengelus dada dan tersenyum bahagia layaknya menang perang laser.
ya, gue memang seorang, ehm, seekor cacing buku. itu loh, cacing socialite yang kerjanya menggemburkan kertas.
selain buku, gue juga suka sekali sendal jepit. sendal jepit merupakan bagian penting atau integral part dari hidup gue. hidup terasa kedap udara tanpa sendal jepit. gue sampai mampu mencipta lagu untuk jepitan jiwa gue ini. dinyanyikan pada nada ce a minor d minor ke ge ke ce lagi.

harta karun dan kamar mandi
wowowow.
hari ini gue ke ratu plaza untuk menginstall antivirus buat si laptop tercinta (gue memang gaptek stadium akhir). dari ratu plaza, gue terdampar di pacific place. itu loh, yang di film titanic (?).
di sana, gue mengunjungi sebuah toko buku berjudul aksara yang tas kain recycle nya sering banget gue pake waktu sma sampe bulukan.
dan gue menemukan harta karun.
at first sight nya nicholas sparks dengan harga 91 ribu rupiah!

dunia menjadi cerah hehehe
laluuuu gue memutar haluan ke sebuah tempat makan bertema kamar mandi atau bathroom. nanny's pavillon, itu loh cabang dari bandung.
tempat nya lucu deh!
masa ada yang kursi nya kloset, trus di tembok nya di gantung bathrobe warna pink polkadot, shower cap, alat alat mandi gt deh. trus ada yang meja nya meja rias. ah pokoknya lucu deh!
waffle nya yang pake chunky choc enak banget! gue jadi pengen coba yg pake almond ummm.
aku pasti kembali, nanny.
katanya, di central park ada juga dengan tema living room. jadi pengen liat!

pilihlah hujannya
hello.
hari ini gue diam di rumah. dan gue gelisah. ga bisa melakukan apa apa.
lalu karena bosan dan mati gaya habis habisan maka gue pun mulai berpetualang dengan mengubek lemari buku nyokap gue hehe. di sana gue menemukan sebuah buku yang judulnya spektakuler : How an Ordinary Woman Can Have an Extraordinary Life karya Joy Weston. wow, kelihatan sungguh sensasional. buku nya masih disegel, jadi sebelom buka segel nya, gue lirik kiri lirik kanan dulu kayak maling pakaian dalem.
gue pun membaca dengan hikmat.
di salah satu bab, Joy cerita tentang temen nya yang nama nya Sheila. si Sheila ini pernah ngedate sama cowo yang lebih muda 10 taun, dan dia takut cowo ini tau kalo dia jauh lebih tua. suatu hari Sheila makan siang sama temen nya. waktu itu lagi hujan, dan Sheila mengeluh tentang hujan itu. temen nya trus bilang :
'Sheila, pilihlah hujannya.'
'bagaimana caranya aku memilih hujannya? aku bahkan tidak memiliki payung!'
'apakah hujan akan berhenti kalau kau menginginkannya? apakah hujan akan langsung pergi? mengapa tidak memilih untuk melihat keindahan dalam hujan dan biarkan hujan itu menambah keindahan harimu dan bukan menguranginya?'
pilihlah hujannya, berarti pilihlah untuk bahagia dengan diri dan keadaan tepat seperti yang sedang terjadi.
menurut gue, cara pandang ini keren banget. kenapa kita ga pilih hujannya? toh kita juga ga akan bisa mengubah sesuatu yang ada di luar keterbatasan kita sebagai manusia. kenapa kita ga nikmati aja keadaannya? tapi, hal semacam ini bagi gue masih sangat easier said than done. gue masih sering tuh, sebel sama keadaan dan menyesali dengan garuk garuk tanah.
tapi kalo ga dicoba, selamanya ga akan bisa kan? jadi kayaknya gue akan coba. si Sheila uda buktiin dia berhasil waktu dia jujur sama cowo nya dan ternyata di luar dugaan, cowo nya malah nganggep dia keren.
oke, gue sudah cukup lelah berfilosofi hari ini hahaha.

about this cool guy
hi hi :)
what's cooking?
i just found someone i think really cool. his name is steven cojocaru.
if i didn't buy his book, i would never ever heard his name.
he is a regular fashion correspondent for the Today show, the West Coast style editor for People magazine, the writer of People's Behind The Seams column, a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, and a frequent red carpet hound.
he's just cool.
he really dares to be different -in a cool way. has really great fighting spirit. such a funny guy. fashion freaks and very creative. has many interesting experiences with hollywood babes. written a really nice book.
i don't wanna be like him, i mean i'm not interested in anything about hollywood and red carpet. but i wanna have good spirit like he has.
and he made his dreams come true.
that's even cooler!
so sleepy, gotta go to bed.
